The Owl presents the Annecy Festival

When you're as quick-tempered as The Owl, there's nothing more annoying than discovering you're part of an advertising film.

Synopsis

Few people are aware of this, but each year, the promotional material for the Annecy International Animation Film Festival is stocked in the hollow of a tree trunk in the hills surrounding the famous Lake Annecy.

THE OWL, perched on a tree branch in the vicinity, probably wanted nothing more than to enjoy the scenery and peace and quiet. But the other hillside animals – frogs, green woodpecker, parrots, fireflies and fledglings – seem to have passed the word round: they’ve decided to have fun and games with everything concealed inside the festival’s hiding place (posters, billboards, T-shirts and other promotional supports).

But when you’re as quick-tempered as THE OWL, and all you want is peace and quiet, there’s nothing

more annoying than to see your world progressively being invaded by intrusive advertisements.

And when those who’ve created this disruption are having a grand old time playing with the supports, it’s not surprising that THE OWL flies off the handle. To top things off, the creatures outdo each other in ingenuity to get a spot on her favorite branch, as if it were the only place in the world to promote the festival!

But maybe they’re not wrong, because when THE OWL gets mad, there’s a show in store. And as we all know, entertainment makes for good promotion!
